Across from the shop where they cell two eggs on a roll for a dollar in the morning. The bacon and ham they sell there is blanched and poor quality. People nonetheless line up. Like Bill Clinton memorialized, "It's the economy, stupid."
There is quite a difference between the shops at Penn Station and those at the more grander Grand Central. Grand central gets much of its ridership from wealthy Winchester and there are high end restaurants and boutiques there.
The original Penn Station was, a marvel of architecture, was destroyed to put in Madison Square Garden - we now live underground in a shell of the former splendor.
People pass though but it is harder to love Penn. After the wrecking balls glory and ghosts here are well hidden here.
