Homeward Bound

Home, where my thought's escaping
Home, where my music's playing
Home, where my love lies waiting
Silently for me

Out of Town

Work takes me out of town for another week, this time to a smaller city, in West Virginia.

"From a town known as Wheeling West Virginia
Rode a boy with a six-gun in his hand
And his daring life of crime
Made him a legend in his time East and West of the Rio Grande

Well he started with a bank in Colorado
In the pocket of his vest, a Colt he hid
And his age and his size took the teller by surprise
And word spread of Billy the Kid...

Well he never traveled heavy
Yes, he always rode alone"

...see ya next week. Thanks for dropping in.

Nickles Trickle Down

About the only thing that has trickled down since 1980 is that the poor can collect soda and beer cans for their five cents deposit.

Good for the poor and it has solved global warming.

How the other half walks....

Cross Town Traffic

Dear Mr. Fantasy....best version is live on "Welcome to the Canteen."

"Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune
Something to make us all happy
Do anything take us out of this gloom
Sing a song, play guitar
Make it snappy
Yeah, yeah"

Heading East

At western end of Penn there is my E train. The other end has the 1, 2,3 subway lines and also an exit that puts you on 34th Street, kitty corner from Macy's.

All these shots are of commuters heading east, maybe one in a million into a miracle on 34th Street.

You can always pray.

The Times, They Are....

Penn again, morn and night, and a subway taste of Times Square commute when I was on way to Grand Central Station. Come that eve, that ball will drop in a few months from now, somewhere above the Square.

Ten, nine, eight - you know the rest.

...Make Lemonade

Every three months or so a breakfast meeting takes me to Grand Central Terminal, a much older and grander than the "modern" "ugly" underground Penn Station. These were taken at Grand Central, the top one close to what used to be known as the Pan Am Building.

More than Twenty Years Ago Today...

Today ends one of the premier quarterly auctions for psychedelic posters. With less than 24 hours to go this Grateful Dead poster leads the bidding at $9,000.

Dark Side

In case you did not know, Pink Floyd CDs have been remastered, again. Recycled Floyd. I ordered a few..... This morning I saw an American Kestrel fly across Sunrise Highway, looked like it was hunting - fall falcon migration is peaking or has peaked here.

Just Like Colored Rain
