Loaner BB

The top two pics were taken with my new BB. The bottom one was taken with a loaner BB that was newer than my original model and which had no flash. I only had that loaner for a few days.

I loved that no flash since it would never go off. My first BB was sett to no flash but would flash on occasion.

My new BB has a flash and sometimes it reverts to that mode and at that point it seems to not take pics.

I like what new BB is doing but I need to find this older model and get one too, maybe from eBay from someone who is crazy about having the latest gadget. The shutter reacts closer to when clicked.

I am no good with BB model names - it was a Curve or Bold or something.

What is interesting as I experiment is that shots from the back, sort of what I did when I first used the first BB, are the ones most successful now.

Still shots are more random - more experimentation since the older stye of panning does not work, yet.

Loud click, no random flash.

Friday Rush

There is a beauty to a Friday evening, even when the temperature topped at 104 degrees. People headed home to Long Island or Jersey, some going to The Hamptons for the weekend, some headed to a Yankees game in their Jeter jerseys.

Hot again, today. BB good.

Shake, Rattle, Roll

The shutter is completely unpredictable - panning is like Russian Roulette with a very noisy trigger....love the file size and saturation, but I am fairly lost - to me it is about technique and only a bit of luck, rather than a lot of fortune.....

Easiest shots are following people since there is less of "decisive moment," sort of like my early BB work when I followed people since I lacked experience and was more afraid of being caught in the act....

I am not sure how many of you saw the US women beat Brazil today in the World Cup semifinals. Playing a man down the tied the game in extra time during the 30 minute overtime.

Three BBs, like little penalty shots...I love soccer.

New BB

Old blackberry broke and I have used two different BBs over the past week - this one I had for two days and took a few pics.

BBs now make very loud click sound which I have been unable to disable. They also have a longer delay between when the button is clicked and the camera takes the picture.

Larger file sizes and better colors are a plus.

Hope you are all well. I have taken pics regularly and I need to get back into posting and visiting.
